The Cribs sell out legendary LA venue The Cribs played a sold-out show at the Troubadour in Los Angeles last night (July 24). Introduced by legendary LA DJ Rodney Bingenheimer, the Jarman brothers took the stage and launched into 'Hey Scenesters!' with amazing energy. "We're happy to be here so far away from home," Ryan Jarman told the packed house. "Here in LA all you cool kids know how to dance." During their 70-minute set, the band ran through several tracks from their new album, 'Men's Needs, Women's Needs, Whatever', as well as songs from their first two records. The trio played a rare, one-song encore, after which Ryan declared, "Encores are for losers." Sean Na Na, the guitar-pop side project of Har Mar Superstar (aka Sean Tillman), kicked off the night with songs from his band's new album, 'Family Trees or: Must CoPe We', while his mate Fab Moretti of The Strokes looked on. "It's awesome to tour with The Cribs," Tillman told NME.COM after the show. "I was at the first Cribs show five years ago and I'd always wanted to tour with them." The Cribs played: 'Hey Scenesters!' 'Our Bovine Public' 'Lose Us' 'Girls Like Mystery' 'I'm A Realist' 'Moving Pictures' 'I'm Alright Me' 'I've Tried Everything' 'Women's Needs' 'Martell' 'Men's Needs' 'Mirror Kissers' 'Another Number' 'Ancient History' 'The Wrong Way To Be' 'We Can Only Cheat You' The Cribs and Sean Na Na continue their tour of the US with a show in San Francisco tonight (July 25). |
